Civic Involvement
As a fair trade activist I serve the Seattle community by maintaining a website so that people can become educated about fair trade issues. This presents an opportunity for people to educate themselves about the consequences of how the “free trade” agreements impact school funding and school privatization. I helped start and maintain five Milwaukee community day care centers with a coalition of parents, community and university staff. I participate in my niece and nephew’s education by volunteering in their classrooms.
