Municipal League Centennial Celebration and 2010 Civic Awards
On March 18th the Municipal League will host its Centennial Celebration Dinner. During this special evening we will take a look at the issues the Municipal League has tackled through the years and join together to support the League’s mission of promoting local government that is open, effective and accountable, and improves the caliber of public officials and the quality of public decisions.

Award Categories
Citizen of the Year: A private citizen, including one who has served in an appointive office or on a commission without compensation, who has made an outstanding contribution to the cause of good government or civic betterment over many years.
Business/Organization of the Year: A business or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the community over many years.
Public Official of the Year: An elected or appointed public official or department head who, in addition to routine service, has brought to government outstanding innovations or contributions over many years.
Doug Mason Memorial: A person, age 35 or under, who over several years made special contributions to the people of King County in any of the following areas: environmental protection and preservation, agricultural preservation, transportation, human services, housing, good government, ethics in politics, and effective government administration.
