50th Annual Civic Awards - 2009
The Municipal League honored eight individuals and three organizations at its 50th Annual Civic Awards on March 25, 2009. The awards were given for outstanding contributions to the community and work toward better government. The event was sold out and well attended by elected and public officials, community leaders and supporters of good government!

In honor of the golden anniversary of the awards, the League also recognized past winners, many of whom were in attendance.
The ceremony was held at the Seattle Art Museum and Thomas Goldstein was Master of Ceremonies.

The awardees were nominated by the public, evaluated by the League’s Civic Awards Committee and approved by the League board. Additionally, a local high school student will be named as a Civic Scholar and will receive a partial college scholarship.
