Candidate Evaluation Program Information Night

The Municipal League is hosting an information night for people interested in volunteering to be a Candidate Investigator. Come learn more about this well respected and engaging program and what it means to be a Candidate Investigator.

Thursday, May 7th at Piecora’s Pizza 6:30 PM (1401 East Madison Street)

The Candidate Evaluation Program is a volunteer-led review of candidates running for local offices in King County. 60-90 Candidate Investigators will help the Municipal League review and rate up to 125 candidates in 2009.

The League’s candidate ratings provide the region's only independent, non-partisan, non-agenda driven evaluation of candidates for public office. The process is similar to a "job interview" – with a diverse group of citizens serving as hiring managers.

Each year, volunteers from throughout King County join the Municipal League's Candidate Evaluation Committees to review local candidates for office. They determine the ratings by studying the public record, reviewing candidate questionnaires, speaking with references, and by conducting interviews with the candidates.
