The Municipal League, PubliCola, Seattle Works, the Washington Bus and the Alki Foundation invite you to
join us Election Night.

As part of the evening, we will recognize, highlight and tease some of the avalanche of campaign mail you
received this year.

When:   Tuesday, November 3rd, 5:30-9:00 p.m.
Where:  Twist Belltown, 2313 1st Ave, Seattle

So come by and rub elbows with candidates, volunteers
and politically active folks from across the spectrum as
we conclude the 2009 election cycle!

Some hors d'oeuvres provided. Cash bar. 21+

Some more about the Lit Roast.

• A panel of political watchers, players and gadflys will review the mail pieces and
  make the awards.
• Awards will be funny (hopefully) and not mean.
• In the tradition of the roast, the mail pieces will be subject to praise and teasing, but unlike a roast, the evening will be free of heartwarming stories (unless the mail piece warrants it).
• Who thinks up this stuff? The awards are about the consultants and firms who write them and not about the candidates (OK, maybe about the candidates), so the awards will go to them.
